KoReader and Calibre
I have just installed KoReader on a new Clara 2E and while connected via USB to a Win11 PC, Calibre can transfer books successfully (and they show up in the 'On Device' column of Calibre.
However, when I next connect to Calibre, no books at all are shown in this 'On Device' column of Calibre, is there something I'm not setting correctly? Thank you for any advice |

I had the same problem, its really easy to resolve. Basically you have to keep in mind that calibre use the kobo database to know what books are on your device. That database need to be updated but it can only do so in the original kobo environment.
Therefore if you import books while being in koreader that database won't be updated, a quick solution is simply to connect your device in USB while in the kobo environment and just disconnect (safely!), the db will automatically be updated and your books should show up in calibre. |

Also ensure that the directory on the Kobo that your ebooks are synced to is not a hidden directory (ie starting with a period) or excluded from being scanned (see ExcludeSyncFolders)

Instead of using a USB connection, you can configure NickelMenu with an Import Books option. "menu_item : main : Import books : nickel_misc : rescan_books_full" in the NM config file (change main to library or other option to have it show in more places than the home page).
