Books transferred via USB or downloaded from an OPDS catalog inside KOReader do not s

I can connect my KOReader from the android or jailbroken kindle to my PC through calibre. If I use the "send to device > main memory" it works fine and the book shows up in the "device" button from calibre. But if I download a book from an OPDS library inside KOReader or I got an .epub transferred from USB to my books folder, it does not show up. Can we do something about it?

Nope. calibre metadata is either stored by calibre using wired transfers or generated by KOReader on calibre command using wireless transfers.

Documents fetched from any other source will be there but won't get any paired metadata so they will be invisible when doing wireless transfers.

IIRC calibre should be able to rebuild the metadata of the missing files if you use "connect to folder" with the path where your documents with missing metadata are placed.

Does that mean we need to enable SSH and connect to the books folder through sftp?
