Column to display whether a book has metadata

I came across this resolution for searches:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=338792
(comments:false)

But I am wondering if it's possible to create a custom column that will display if the book has metadata, using the yes/no type ideally?

What sort of metadata? I highly doubt your library is full of blank lines, so it shows that all books will have some type of metadata, so it will always be true/yes. What in particular do you want to check?

Considering that all books should have some metadata, i.e. title and author at a minimum, you would need to get much finer grained that simply "book does not have metadata". What you seem to want is a column to indicate that the comments metadata is blank or not. For me, a simple search on comments:false does that without needing yet another custom column.

I use Preferences->Look and feel->Column icons to attach an icon to the first column of a book; if it has Comments it gets a page icon and a transparent icon if it doesn't, e.g:

Or you could simply use Preferences: Look and Feel: Column Coloring to color a problem book. Simply make a color rule for the missing data.

Since Title or Author are required, coloring one of those should always work
