I recently jailbroke my KT4 using WinterBreak and installed KOReader. The installation instructions on the KOReader wiki advise against using USBMS and recommend USBNet instead.
I'm not entirely sure how to enable and use USBNet on my Kindle Touch. I've searched the forums, but the information seems a bit overwhelming for a beginner like me. Could someone please help me with how to enable USBNet on a jailbroken Kindle Touch (KT4) running KOReader? I'm brand new to the mobileread forums and to Kindle modding in general, so please forgive me if this is a very basic question or if I've posted in the wrong place. I've been reading through the forums and trying to learn as much as possible, but I'm still a bit lost. |

do not plug in your device to a PC while running KOReader, if you need to transfer anything to it, first exit the application (back to stock firmware) and then plug in to the PC.

That's what I am currently doing. I am just paranoid that I might plug in by mistake.

I've done it before on my Kindle Voyage and Koreader nightly at least doesn't freak out and just charges nowadays.

What FW are you on?
For 5.16.3 and higher you need Marek’s USBnet Lite: https://fw.notmarek.com/khf/ For older, you need regular USBnet NiLuJe’s Snapshots in Kindle Developer’s Corner on MobileRead. Let me know if you need help setting it up… |

I am on 5.17.1. I would love some help.
This is a binary and not a folder, so I am guessing it does not go into the extensions folder? |

Take Marek’s USBnet lite package and install it with mrpi
Then you will have an entry in KUAL to enable it |
