Version 4.129 Doesn't See Reader PRS-505
I just updated Calibre to 4.129 & the software does not see my reader [PRS-505], while Win XP does as well as the Sony software

The original build of 129 had a bug in it. Try re-downloading it.

Still Nothung
I installed a new download on top of the previous - nothing
I rebooted - nothing I deleted the previous install & reinstalled - still nothing All the time Windows sees the reader |

Most likely your anti-virus is preventing calibre from detecting the device. Kaspersky is particularly bad when it comes to this.

You're right - the problem is caused by Kaspersky. I turned off the malware scanning & Calibre can access the reader
