Hello! I'm trying to access the server from my phone with no success. (I'm sorry for any mistakes, English is not my native language)
I can access it from my local network. I'm using Win 10. I don't have an antivirus and have already tried disabling the firewall. I also have "Calibre," "The main calibre program," and "Standalone calibre content server" on the exceptions and on the incoming rules. Everything is allowed. I know my public IP, and I'm trying with another provider, so it isn't from my local network. I "forwarded" the ports in the router (I'm no expert, but I tried to follow the instructions I found online). I added two port forwarding rules with the local IP that my PC uses. I wrote the internal port that Calibre uses. I tried writing the same port/number in the external port option and also using a different one (e.g., Internal port 8080, external port 8080 AND internal port 8080, external port 8082). My router is a TP-Link Archer C80. I have no issue with online gaming or any other app, again, the local connection works, but the external connection says Connection Refused, not even a ping to my public IP works. Please, halp. 😪

Is the server really running ??
The globe Icon in Calibre will have Green nodesIs it possible you have something else running on 8080? (since this is a very common port, change it slightly: 8085-9) |

Yes, I know is running because I can access from my local network, same device or another device but only from the local. As for the port, I tried changing it in Calibre to 8080, 8082, and 8585, which were some of the options I saw online. In the router I tried 8080, 7575, 8082. I believe I'm missing something on the router or in the forwarding, but I don't know. |

Does your provider allow you to forward ports?

I've tried many times too, but in the end, I found a simple and effective, free way: Zerotier. You sign up, log in, install the software or the various apps on your smartphones/tablets, and from your control panel, you can choose whether to make the VPN accessible only after approval (that's what I do).
