SSH Kindle - KOReader 2024.11 "Slang"
Unable to connect with SSH since the upgrade to KOReader 2024.11 "Slang"KOReader 2024.11 "Slang"

Using IP address and port 2222. Tried with username root, no password. And no username and no password.


Any help?

Let me recap. You're a long time user having an issue on a particular release. The workflow should be pretty clear:

1. Try to reproduce on last nightly
2. If you can reproduce on last nightly report

And when I mean report I mean report KOReader logs, ssh client error message.

A "tried, no luck" will never help.

What do you mean by last nightly release.
Where are the log files located? Will there be no override with new version of koreader?

You can install the latest nightly release by switching to the Development channel and performing an over-the-air update. Or get the latest version here: https://build.koreader.rocks/download/nightly/

The KOReader log is appended to crash.log in the koreader/ base directory.

Prior to upgrade: user account ‘root’ is locked (But we’re letting you in, as configured)
After upgrade no log related to child connection.

INFO Inhibiting user input - only message

For a better chance of help, copy and paste the whole relevant sections of the log here, please.

Also please report the settings you're using on the device with which you're trying to connect to the Kindle, and the error messages you're receiving there.
