Large parts of the screen don't register touch input, including annoyingly the section that has the connect button when the connect to pc dialog pops up.
I have however managed to get it to connect to my phone's mobile hotspot, so using my phone as the input device is theoretically possible. I have an OTG cable that allows me to connect the kobo to my phone, but I then still have the same issue of not being able to touch the connect to pc button on the kobo itself. (I also have a microusb one that allows me to plug things into the kobo if that's any use as well, however neither the wireless Logitech k330 keyboard, nor my wired keyboard have shown much promise of working - and I tried the wired one both directly and via a powered usb switch). I can get the web browser open, however I'm unable to use most of the on-screen keyboard, so it's not a huge amount of help. If at all possible I want to do this without taking the device apart. Any ideas? |

If enough of the on screen keyboard works to enable developer settings (by searching for 'devmodeon') then you could probably install it wirelessly via FTP. Otherwise I can't think of any way to do it without opening the device, removing the internal SD card, and copying it onto that. If you can get the developer settings enabled, there's also a way to make it connect automatically via USB without being prompted to confirm.

Unfortunately the on-screen keyboard isn't working, but if there's a way of getting an external keyboard working then it might be possible
