Resolution lower on KOReader?
I got a Sage (that I am returning shortly due to a screen gradient), and even though the stock reader seems brilliant for me, I decided to install KOReader. I used it on my previous Pocketbook and I wanted to see if it's worth using it on the Sage too.
What I notice is that the same font (Bookerly), same size, contrast maxed out, looks like it's lower resolution than it looks on the stock reader. With the contrast at anything other than maximum, the font is noticeably thinner than what it is on the stock app. I've played with the DPI setting in KOReader, but that only seems to change the size of the menus (and the book font which I then have to bring back up/down to size), not the actual resolution. Seeing as a lot of people online seem to use KOReader on Kobos... is there something I am missing? A setting perhaps that will make the fonts as sharp as the stock app? |
