What screen protector do you use?

I own a kobo libra colour and applied the Moko matte screen protector on it, but I feel frustrated at the decreased touch sensitivity. My fingers and phone capacitive stylus pens will always require multiple taps.

Everything works in one click with the kobo stylus, but its not as smooth to open the menu from the reading screen because each end of the stylus has a specific function

I didn't have this issue when I decided to keep the plastic film that it comes with. Is there anything better or thinner on the market? What do you use?

I have had an eInk Reader since about October 2006. I have never had the need for a screen protector. You don't actually need one as long as you have a book style cover.

I have never used a screen protector since I adopted eink in 2011. No scratched screen, ever. I don't use covers either, but then I only read at home.

Yup, I go this route for my Kobo Libra 2 since I don't use a stylus for it. I've heard reports of the kobo stylus scratching screens so the screen protector is a precaution

Do you use the kobo stylus? Is it still scratch free?

No, I use an ordinary capacitive stylus with a soft tip. But then I don't draw or take notes, I only use the stylus for navigating, to avoid fingerprints.

Honestly, I do normally stick a screen protector on my e readers. I'm not accident prone, it's just what I do with a device I care about with a screen.

However, I have spent years reading this forum where I have read numerous posts saying that you don't need one on an ereader. It is my perception thus, that is the conventional wisdom of this forum.

So when I got my Libra Colour, with concerns about the darker Kaledio screen, I listened to that wisdom. I haven't bought one. I haven't missed it, either.

Admittedly, I don't use a stylus. But I am now basking in the collective of you don't need one.

I've never used a screen protector, and I've had Kobos since the Touch. I do always use a sleepcover.

I have a Clara 2E and have scratches on the screen. Reading I don't notice them. If I hold it at an angle, I can see them. I don't use a cover.

I have had an e-ink reader since 2006 when Sony came out with PRS500. I passed some of my readers on when the new and improved models appeared and I updated the reader. Some models I sold early because I wasn't satisfied with them.
I do not think there passed a single day without me reading at least 15 minutes on an e-ink reder since. I very often read numerous time per day and take an e-ink reader with whenever I think I might have even a short opportunity to read where I am going.

None of my readers ever had a screen protector. None of them had ever a screen scratched or otherwise damaged. I always use a case for my e-ink reader.

None, is not needed aslong you have a sleeve or other protection when carrying your reader around.

A sleeve des give some protection, but not always enough. A book style cover gives more protection because wen you are done reading, you close the cover and the screen is protected. With a sleeve, you have to put the Reader in the sleeve and that doesn't always happen. So the screen is exposed.

Or...

A cover doesn't give some protection, but not always enough. With a sleeve, when you are done reading, you put the reader back in the sleeve and the screen is protected. With a cover, you have to close the cover and that doesn't always happen. So the screen is exposed.

I've used sleeves for 8 years, at least. No scratches.

I use a leather sleeve that I got from Etsy.

It's nice. No issues with my screen (or dust).
