Will permanently removing a book also erase its reading stats?

So, if I permanently delete a book from my kindle and its cloud, with that result in my reading stats being altered? If I have only read this book for some days, will they appear as if I have read nothing?

If it's something you have used "send to kindle" to get it in the cloud and onto your kindle and do a delete from cloud and remove from the kindle it will show up as "new" with no previous stats when you use "send to kindle" again.

I have no idea about purchased content, but you would have to purchase it again anyway to test.
