Kobo Clara won't start and has blinking white light
Hi! I don't know if this is the right place to discuss this but last night I plugged to connect with my Calibre and found that most of the books I uploaded in the kobo were no longer there.

I decided to restore my back-ups, but now my Kobo Clara won't start. It briefly flashes black and then nothing, except that the light is flashing white.

Can this still be fixed, or did I brick my Kobo?

Something similar happened to my Libra 2, I believe the SD card image is corrupted, maybe due to a fault in the SD card. I couldn't revive mine, but you can always pry yours open and ask for the image in the thread in the Kobo forum and try to flash it.

The same thing is happening to my Kobo Clara 2E. I was reading using koreader and then I saw the bomb icon and a message that said that a problem had happened. The debug message said something about not being able to write in a read-only system. Sounded bad.

Now I have that: blank screen, flashing light, no way to recover it. Definitely sounds like a disk/SD card problem.

I've PMmed you a link to the Clara 2E image. The usual warning about using a new µSD card since from many reports I've seen, the old µSD card has failed so re-using it is not a good idea.
