Developing complex kepubs

Hello everyone,

I'm writing a book with complex layout and some very simple Javascript.
My goal is to sell on Kobo store, only for the devices with pen support, so I think the format should be kepub. Is this correct?

Each time I made a modification, that works on Calibre ebook editor, I have to connect my device, copy the file, disconnect the cable, and test it (mainly to find nothing works at all and having to try a new strategy).

Development is going really slow (and I'm also stressing my device battery).

Is there a way to speed up the testing? A kind of "simulator" for the webkit renderer used by Kobo devices for kepubs?

How can I check in advance if some CSS and Javascript features are supported or not?

Thank you
Ignazio

You could use Kobo Desktop. See https://github.com/kobolabs/epub-spe...sting-purposes for instructions on side loading to Desktop.

Unfortunately, the rendering is different: my book layout works with desktop and does not work on the real device.

Any other idea?

Thank you

If you install NickelMenu, you don't have to unplug and replug the Kobo each time you want to test. There's a menu option to re-establish the USB connection after ejecting.
Code:
menu_item : main : USB Connect : nickel_misc : force_usb_connection

Is there any way you could share a subset of your work so others can see what you are trying, and what happens?

Thank you to everyone, your help has been precious.

My problem was showing an image as big as possible, centered on screen, and so that ink notes with the pen are preserved correctly (so svg wrapper cannot be used), even when changing the device orientation (so the dimension should be fixed). It has been complicated, but maybe I'm near to a solution.
