How to Change Library Formats? Page 7 & Go Color 7
I sort my books by author in 5 directories (A-E, F-J, etc.), each containing 5 or 6 sub-directories (A, B, C, etc.) which contain a sub-sub-directory for each author with that surname initial.
The Go Color Library in the Scan Mode has a text list of titles, with small icon headers (see picture), as do its Recently Read & Favorites lists, but in its Directory Mode it displays books with a large space-wasting icon plus truncated text below them. I should like to change the Directory Mode format to the text and small icon style - does anyone know how to do this? The Page 7 I am preparing for a disabled friend who wants to try an ePaper reader presents all four lists, Scan Mode, Recently Read, Favorites & Directory Mode, in the large space-wasting icon format. Does anyone know if this can be changed, and, if so, how? ![]() |

I hope that you can glean something useful from my comments. People are very idiosyncratic in how they organize and use books.
My directory structure: If it's a book, I put it in a directory called "Books" (/sdcard/Books). I find this easy. I don't like covers at all. Most of them are pretty irrelevant. Even the nice ones don't look very nice shrunk down and in B/W. Moreover the use of them eats a lot of space. Your line listing is not very efficient either. The icon on the left for book is kind of redundant, the star on the right is bigger than it needs to be. I see you listing 11 books on a 7" device. I fit 17 books on a 6" device. For me, 90% of the time I am interested in the last dozen books that I downloaded. The other 10% I'm looking for a book that I downloaded a while ago. Usually a search of very few letters gets me what I want. I know especially for others that they don't want to deal with any complexities. Maybe a different library utility or even a different reader might be the solution? Below is my own library app. The gray entries are expired public library (OverDrive) books. |
