Clara 2E Kobo Annoyances - Are There Any "Fixes"

My venerable Glo finally died. So, I bought myself a Clara 2E. There's things about this device that just annoy the **** out of me.

Seriously, I just want to read my book(s)... I don't want to be asked if I want to return it when I finish it and I really don't want to be asked to rate the book (whether I liked it or hated it)....

It doesn't appear as if there is a way to turn off these behaviors. Does anyone know how to deal with these things (other then interacting in some way with the popups)?

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

It sounds as if you are mostly reading library books synced to your Clara 2E from Kobo.

So returning the book? That will only show with library loans. That is my preferred behaviour to allow others who might want to borrow the book to have the chance.

As for the rating? I generally just skip by that page.

As DNSB has said the "return" thing is very specific to library loans and saying "yes" is a kindness to others who have placed a request for that book. Recently on social media I've read posts from people explicitly thanking those who return ebook loans early, for that very reason.

As a patron of a library that is short on copies and long on wait times, I too wish to thank all the early returners out there.
