PalmSource CEO to Speak To Investors Thursday

This presentation by David Nagel is available as a webcast for all to see. Usually these things provide some hints of where the company is headed or most interested in pushing ahead. It's always interesting to hear a bit of what the CEO is thinking and how he chooses to say it.

Here's a portion of the press release..
Quote:
SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PalmSource Inc., provider of Palm OS(R), a leading operating system powering next generation phones and mobile devices, today announced that David Nagel, president and CEO of PalmSource, will present at the B. Riley Annual Investor Conference in Las Vegas, Nev. on Thursday, March 17 at 12:55 p.m. PST (3:55 p.m. EST).

A live Web cast and archive of the presentation will be available on PalmSource’s Web site in the investor relations section at http://www.palmsource.com/about/ir.cgi?action=events.

You know what I want to hear him say?! David Nagel: "Yes, we have a new PDA in the line, a successor of the T5 running Cobalt and featuring BT + WiFi."

Or at least, "No, we're not going under" with a straight face.

That would be an interesting quote, since PalmSource does not make PDAs.

"No, we're not going under" (w/straight face) would be a nice thing to hear/see. My impression is one of the reasons they bought China MobileSoft is to supplement their income until Palm OS for Linux gets off the ground. Then they will be poise to push Palm OS into a variety of feature phones. Question is, will they be able to do that before they run out of money?
