Problem running Calibre

Hi
Updated Windows 10 and latest version of Calibre.
The problem has been around for several versions.
When I click on a book, the message "the database seems to be corrupted..." appears.
If I click on an icom to open the program, the same message.
The only way to open the program is to click on the calibre.exe file and "open as administrator".
I have already uninstalled and installed it and it continues. This is normal?
How to solve the problem?

Make sure OneDrive and Antivirus and anything other than Calibre can't access the files/folders and that they are on a local disk, not via ANY kind of network etc.

Also where did you install calibre? It sounds as if you are having a rights issue if calibre will run as administrator or you have an antivirus or security program blocking your access. Try restarting in Safe mode and see if calibre will run then to eliminate many 3rd party programs.
