Doubt about author notes and performance

Hello:

I've got a doubt. Can author notes affect to performance handling the library? I'm adding them to my main library and, before going further, I would like to be sure.

No, they wont affect the performance of most things significantly. Most operations in calibre remain entirely unaware of notes. The few that do access them are mostly single book operations, like displaying the boo details panel, for which performance doesnt matter.
