Calibre keeps resetting

I use Calibre & on many occasions when I start Calibre it has reset to it's default settings; ie; all of the plugins such as resize cover & all of the other plugins are removed from the main tool bar.

Can anybody advise on this please?

Someone/something is messing with the (per user) configuration (calibre) folder.

In Windows it is <your-logon-name>/AppData/roaming/calibre

Syncing across computers via the cloud?? unpredictable

Beware the Bandersnatch, never mind Silthy Toves. Make sure OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive etc have no interest in any directory (folder) used by Calibre for settings or library. Possibly some stupid AV systems too.
