change default reader/viewer
I am using 6.29 (posed to upgrade shortly to 7.1). W10
I need to know how change the default viewer/reader from epub to pdf since most of the ebooks I have right now are in PDF format. I really do not want to convert them to epub, but would prefer when I double click on a book, the PDF version opens instead of the epub (if available) or AZW (if available) or any other format. is this possible? I have disabled the PREFERENCES>>> BEHAVIOR >>> use internal viewer for epub, AZW, ETC BUT, Calibre still wants to open epub over pdf or any other format. Can I change this? again my preferred format (at least now) is PDF. thank you |

UPDATE
OKAY
so here is what happened.. PREFERENCES >>> BEHAVIOR under preferred input format I moved epub, azw, etc to the bottom of the list and moved PDF to the top now every ebook opens as a PDF with my default PDF reader/viewer Last edited by Keebler125; 12-01-2023 at 07:40 AM. |

I probably could have just moved the PDF to the top without moving the others to the bottom... but its a learning experience
