Calibre search
Calibre 6.29 I’ve just changed from Windows to Mac, so am not sure if my problem is a Mac thing. In Mac, my searches show everything no matter which mode I choose: highlighted or non-highlighted. And it doesn’t bring up the specific search item. For example searching for C.N. Jackson brings up his books, but also Aaron Jackson, Chris Jackson, DB Jackson, etc. and shows all of my books. I just want to see C.N. Jackson, not highlighted in the entire list, just the list of his books.

I’m sure it is something set in Preferences, but I can’t find it. Any help would be most appreciated. Yes, I know I can look under authors, but I'm used to just putting what I'm looking for in the search bar, hitting enter (return) and getting what I want.

At the bottom of the tag browser there is this settings icon
That allows for And or Or type searches
Preferences:searching: Highlight... on how results are displayed

Thanks so much! I knew it had to be in preferences, but hadn't looked in tag browser. Now works as I like!

Also thank you from me, I can now get an and search. I should of course have known/figured out that Calibre had this possibility.
