SSH Failed on Inkpad Color 2 (but [OK] on Kobo libra)

Hello,
I just received my new device: Inkpad Color 2 to replace my Libra H2O.
I want to connect to my Inkpad thru Wifi but it fails
I need help please. Here's my tests:

On Inkpad Color 2, with Koreader, stable release up to date (v2023.08)

Wifi activation : [OK]
SSH activation without password : [OK] but msg "Gateway ping [FAILED]

SSH connection : [FAILED]

Code:

ssh root@inkpadc2 -p 22222
root@inkpadc2's password:[enter]
root@inkpadc2's password:[enter]
root@inkpadc2's password:[enter]
root@inkpadc2: Permission denied (publickey,password).

Wallabag Retrieves new articles : [OK] (to confirm gateway link)
Check for updates (Stable and Dev): [OK] (to confirm gateway link)
Ping from PC to the device: [OK] (to confirm gateway link)
reCheck Network Info (in Koreader Menu): SSID, IP, Default GW: [OK] but still same msg in the bottom : "Gateway ping FAILED"
Update and swith to dev Repo [FAILED]: Need to download and reinstall manually.
Same result with v.2023.08-78 (nightly repo)

In my libra-h2O:

Same Koreader stable Version, same SSID, same GW, same Settings, same ssh command:
ALL is OK and no GW warning message

Code:

ssh root@kobo-libra -p 22222
root@kobo-libra's password:[ENTER]
X11 forwarding request failed on channel 0
hostname: can't open '/etc/hostname': No such file or directory
root@(none):/mnt/onboard/.adds/koreader> exit

Can you help me please ?

it's not very urgent because i'm already so happy to use again KOREADER on my new device. I found some interessing new features in stock app missing in koreader but it's another story... please tell me if you want review, and compare to my old but still super libra h2o...

Unless you changed the default that's port 2222, not 22222.

I tried 2222 and 22222 port: Same behavior.
Anyway, it's not a port issue because the server is responding to the ssh-client, asking for password.

I found this workaround : https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=159636
Now i have ssh access, very limited, not root, for example ping is not allowed, but enough for sending files remotely.
