Forma Overdrive on KObo in Europe?

Hi to All, firstly I offer my apologies for something that might be seen as double posting. This is a folllow-up of my post yesterday with a different bias!

I see that my Kobo Forma set up in the European Union does not have Overdrive in the list of options in the settings. I suspect that this is a deliberate choice by Kobo, though perhaps I am wrong. Of course, there are few countries in the EU that use Overdrive and such a choice by Kobo might be understandable.

However I will be spending a couple of months in a city outside the EU that has a library that uses Overdrive. How could I connect to this if my Kobo does not have that option? Can I update my Kobo in that country and get access to Overdrive?

Any advice or information would be most welcome!

From Kobo's web page, Overdrive integration is only available in Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore.

If you are going to be in one of the listed countries, you could try changing your Kobo account to that country, possibly under Billing Address in Payment Information.

Just a note to thank you DNSB and to inform other users with the same problem as I had.

Following DNSB's advice, I went into my Kobo account and simply changed the name of the country for billing (without having to produce any documentation on this, which however I would have been able to do!!

) and after an update on the Kobo, Overdrive appeared on the list of settings. A miracle!
