Multiple books at the same time?

Anyone read more than one book at a time? I have been successful doing it from time to time but they have to be very disparate. For instance reading a fiction/sci fi/fantasy/etc and then also reading history or science book I can pull off. Two fictions as the same time gets very confusing lol.

Sometimes, yes. I mostly read fiction only, but the books have to be different genres when read at the same time. Too often one of the books will be dropped, though, because the other is just more interesting.

I am a very 'moody' reader, so yes, I switch between stories frequently because I can only take so much space battles, folk be nasty to others, in on session. These are not 'lousy' books (those I just abandon). |

I only read one book at a time. Back when I was collecting comics, I would read several issues weekly resulting in me following up to twenty ongoing storylines at a time. But now I am a serial monogamist. |

For novels, only one book at a time for me. Technical textbooks, sure, many of those at once - but not so much anymore, now that I am retired |

I will sometimes read non-fiction during the day and fiction at night.

I do have multiple books going at one time. Right now, I have two eBooks and two audiobooks on the go.

Only one book at a time for me. I don't really understand why you would read 2+ books at a time? What does that achieve? It's certainly not a time saving technique, and can you honestly say that you receive the same or better enjoyment reading 2+ books at a time, instead of 1? |

I might have two going very, very briefly. But that's only only until I decide which one I want to commit to. Once that happens (and it always happens within a few chapters), it's one book only for me.

I usually have 2-4 books going at the same time. Some non-fiction, lite fiction for bedtime reading, sometimes a study/inspirational type depending on what class I'm taking at church. Many times I've also got an old favorite going as well, which one depends on my mood. I've got maybe 10 books that I reread every year or two.
