Problem with Epub to Pdf Conversion:text in the table of contents on the left clipped

Hi, when I converted an epub file to pdf in Calibre, the text on the left side of the table of contents got clipped. This only happened in the table of contents, the text in the rest of the book is fine.

This will be an issue with the markup in that page. Most likely a negative indent that is not specified in a robust manner, so its bleeding off the page area. One thing you can try is disable the option to remove fake page margins in the structure detection section of the conversion dialog.

Thanks for the reply. That did not work, unfortunately. Anything else I can try?

Edit as desired in Word or LO Writer (save and edit odt in LO).
Export PDF, which will perfectly match the word processor file.

Thanks. I tried this. I want to make all the fonts bigger, but they vary in size throughout the book, and if I just select all in Word and click Increase Font Size, it leaves out some parts and the results are not satisfactory.

Look at the CSS of the problematic section in the epub using the edit book tool. Look for negative margins/indents and remove them.

Never select all and increase font!
You need to use and edit paragraph styles in Word. Only ever direct format part of a paragraph as bold, italic, superscript, subscript, never font size or family.

Or as Kovid suggests edit the epub CSS (that's the same as paragraph style editing in Word or LO Writer).
