Im interested in ereaders and I prefer everyone move
over to epub instead of pdf unless they have a good reason

A reflowable format works much better on small screen devices. PDF is page oriented so you will often be trying to read an A4 page on an ~A6 or smaller screen making the font small and hard to read.

Most of us (I think) do not read PDF on a small screen eInk Reader.
