How can I define a custom column like Folder in a calibre plugin?

I want to offer a custom column that can be clicked to open a specific directory with a file manager, like "Folder".

I would use long text custom column containing a file:// URL - I would click on it in the Book Details panel.

PS: The long text editor makes it easy:
