Kobo covers missing from download

I have noticed for some time when downloading covers on Calibre that I no longer see covers from Kobo.
I have the latest Calibre version and this problem has persisted through several versions.
Covers from other companies e.g. Google, Amazon are displayed.

Here is the Kobo section from the log of an attempted download of Pride and Prejudice's cover:

Which version of the Kobo Books plug-in do you have installed? The latest version is 1.10.2 and can be found at https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...&postcount=181 as it has not been move to release yet.

I am puzzled as to why searching Kobo for covers would be affected by a Kobo plugin, but thanks again anyway.

Calibre uses plug-ins to handle lots of things so the use of Kobo Books to handle meta data and cover downloads from Kobo is reasonable. It moves the programming load from the main developers and allows for people to add their own functionality.

From the Kobo Books plug-in first post

Main Features

Can retrieve title, author, comments, publisher, publication date, series and tags.
Fetches high resolution covers using size defined by "maximum_cover_size" tweak.
The identifier used is "kobo". It will show in the details as "KoboBooks".

Because it is a User created Metadata source plugin
if you are curious (want to snoop) to who/what:
Preferences: Plugins:
There, it shows the different categories of PI: Expanding, shows which belong

The Only show User Installed tick, shows JUST those you did install (Manual or from Get Plugins). Anything that disappears when youapply the tic, is stock Calibre supplied
