IR guide replacement part for kobo
Hi all,
¿Does anybody know where can i obtain the infrared guide to repair the kobo screen? Mine has the pins broken...
The pins broken are these: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/at...7&d=1558685747 . So I need a new guide, but I cannot find anywhere...

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

these pins are mainly responsible for correct alignment (snaps into the mainboard)

it might be fine to glue on new pins

no idea where one could get the entire piece. short of buying a broken kobo off ebay and taking theirs

I found a Kobo Aura HD on eBay for parts. The person is in France. So you can get it even if you are not in the US.

Though you mustn't get any glue near the active parts. The D shaped bits pipe / focus the IR through the inner edge of the bezel.
