Automatic Addition filetype whitelist

The current automatic addition behaves quite terribly when you want to use a generic windows 'downloads' folder. The problem with the automatic decision-making on 'book format' filetypes is when it wants to include things I specifically don't want (cbz, zip, docx, etc), but when you use the "automatically add file types of all types" and try to filter out the types you do not want, it will instead start adding any filetype that isn't part of the filter list (.mp4, .bin, etc) that aren't even remotely books.

Is there a way (plugin maybe, I couldn't find one) to allow me to set a filetype whitelist instead of the current automatic/blacklist method? If not, please consider this as a feature request. Automatic adding is borderline unusable otherwise in this use-case (sure I could use a different folder, but at that point I may as well just drag the file directly into calibre instead).

I would just use a special folder and download ebooks to that folder rather than trying to use a generic download folder for this.

I sort by filetype in my downloads folder then drag and drop that into calibre. I think you could write a script to move whitelisted filetypes into a separate folder too, if you can't use a specific downloads folder.

Been a while, but I have Calibre configured (in add books) to use a folder called:
autoadd (a shared folder, so I can toss it content from any device on my network) (I would be careful that this is a Local folder as Calibre needs to remove things once it does its part)
