column mode w/ kindle scribe

Hi, I just started converting my library to my new kindle scribe, I converted the books to mobi, no real issues other than the scribes landscape column mode not working, has anyone else had this issue? know a way to fix it? maybe i'm converting to the wrong format?

You should use azw3/KF8. The mobi format is only needed for the first 2 regular kindles and the two DX models. It is very limited.

converted to azw3 and tried again, still not working with column mode. i don't see an option to convert to kf8

Those are the same beast.

What did you convert from?
Once converted to a lesser format, that loses advanced (modern) content formatting. Use the Original source (as delivered)

mostly epubs, some pdfs

If you use a Send to Kindle tool, do you get multiple columns in landscape mode?

I believe that multiple columns and sticky notes both require KFX format on a Scribe. If you use Amazon’s send-to-kindle most books will be delivered in that format to a Scribe. Amazon didn’t bother to add the new Scribe features to the older Kindle formats.
