Is it possible to get a list of all authors in Exel?

I need only the name and not the books

Create Catalog option, CSV option, select only authors. You'll need to de-dupe it though.

Catalog in csv will certainly produce a list of authors or any other category that can be used in Excel. I've used it several times.

I tested it - I got the author names. Unfortunately, there were a zillion duplicate author names.

Create Catalog option, CSV option, select only authors. You'll need to de-dupe it though.

I hope you are a little patient because i'm a man of 76 years

Right-click on the Convert button -> select Create Catalog. Then select CSV from the drop-down menu. Click on the CSV options tab.
