Ebook cover now showing on certain apps

Hello

Apologies for typo *not* showing
I have uploaded an ebook cover through Calibre. The cover shows up on apple books however it does now show up on google play books.

I have tried checking the file on calibre and when I try to download a cover it says none found?

Download 'Cover' is ambiguous.
Calibre Metadata (the Library details) has a Cover.
This may be different that the stored book depending on how it got into the MDE.

The Book exported (send to...), updates the (if properly identified) books version during the send. It does NOT change the Library copy.

If your book ends up with 2+ 'covers', one of those was not properly identified as a Cover in the OPF.

So, what did you mean by 'Download'?

In the edit metadata section, there is an option to download the cover you have uploaded.

What I get is this, two different results depending on the app.

The cover uploaded to calibre displays on apple books and the title page which is also a picture.

Google play displays the title page only.

I can live with it but it would be nice to have the original cover on google play books too.

In the MDE that Download ADDS the cover just to Calibre. The one right above the button.

Not the book For that, you need to use something like Polish, Modify EPUB, Embed or manually Edit the book and updat that way..

When you send, the current cover (you saw in the MDE), is normally embedded. BUT
Some devices do not get covers from the book. Those use their own methodology and depend on specific metadata to ID the edition
