That is not an EPUB (or one that was not properly zipped for EPUB use).

ValueError: This ZIP container has no file named: META-INF/container.xml
You might change the extension to ZIP and try Importing (as a new book), then converting that to EPUB

The first thing that comes to mind is that you have to use a valid ePub file. The specification says that you MUST have a file called container.xml and it MUST be in the META-INF directory.

Simply renaming a file as .epub does not make it a valid epub file.

And also, where did you obtain that file so others may know to avoid it.

That's an error from a font library. Presumably one of the fonts in the file you are processing is causing it.

That's an error processing the font file *inside the EPUB* most likely. I have no way to tell you more since you dont say what it is you are trying to do, or provide complete logs or the EPUB file in question.

Today I was cleaning up/correcting/adding metadata to the files I imported yesterday.

I only noticed it after I closed Calibre, and was scrolling through the terminal output.

Dont worry about it then. It will have most likely been when rendering the first page of an EPUB that does not have a cover. At such times fonts have to be processed.

That almost makes sense. Virtually none of the ebooks I was working on had a cover.
