Problem with purchased books
I bought a book today (Mr. Mercedes) that was on sale on my kobo reader. Went through the purchase process and confirmed purchase, It completed the process and said enjoy your book etc.
Went to my books on the same ereader and it was not there. Searched for it and it showed it available in the store but not on my device. I went to Kobo website and went to my books under 'My Account' and it was there with previous purchases. Checked ereader again and nothing. Googled some and did the repair your Kobo account option on the ereader. After that process completed the book was there. Great. Browsed around some more and found another book I purchased from Kobo on the ereader. Same thing happened, it was not in My Books on the device and Mr. Mercedes was no longer on the device. The two new books were listed under My Books on the kobo website. Did the repair my account again on the device and now they are both on the device. I cannot imagine I have done anything wrong. But something is not right. Any ideas? I am apprehensive to continue to buy books from Kobo at this point. Last edited by TheSmitty; 05-25-2023 at 03:22 PM. |

If syncing doesn't work, you can download the books from the Kobo website to your computer and sideload to your Kobo.

Try and repair your account on the device, and see if it helps (back-up first highlights/notes/reading stat/etc, I'm not sure if they get erased for sideloaded books like it happens when you log-out)

Just to test (if you have not done this), under FILTER, select ALL, (or even PURCHASED) and see if it's there somewhere.

You could try logging out of your Kobo account on your eReader, then log back in again.
