Changing Aura One LED output
I was able to invert my screen in developer‘s settings, and then decided to look at the light settings.
I found that I could lighten the screen considerably by altering the white LEDs, and sliding it up a bit considerably helped contrast, especially on the inverted screen. The problem is there seems no way to save that setting as the screen reverts after a minute or so. I imagine there must be some override to prevent that kind of output, but I’m wondering if there is a workaround, as that made reading much more pleasurable.u . prevent that kind of output Last edited by nightmodeguy; 05-01-2023 at 09:18 PM. |

Changing LED Output Aura One
I wish I could edit the title of my post as this title does not really specifically address my issue.
I was hoping that someone familiar with developer mode would have a general answer to how to save settings. I read about other people adjusting the front lighting LEDs with success, but every time I change the White LED setting, it reverts back when I return to the Kobo desktop. I did try the save logs option on the previous developers option page, but that not only did not work, but it seems to have prevented me from even temporarily increasing the brightness of the white LED Isn’t there anybody out there that is interested in the same modification? Thanks! Last edited by nightmodeguy; 05-01-2023 at 06:06 PM. |

Found the solution.
It’s funny that with no one answers a question like this, it forces one to find the answer oneself. And so I did. Once you’re in settings, and you choose device information, and then developer‘s options, then the adjustment for the front LEDs, which leads you to where the sliding switches for the LEDs are displayed That’s no mystery, but why the white LED that I adjusted for greater output, eventually dimmed simply had to do with the controls in the brightness setting. Once I turned off “Auto“ the brighter LED setting stayed constant, and will stay constant until you turn off the device, whether fully turned off or in hibernation. So there’s the very slight inconvenience of having to go through the adjustment all over again, but more importantly, it remains constant for the whole reading session So for those with eyestrain, inverting the screen on the aura one, and brightening up the white LED makes reading, much easier. |
