More info when you add books already present in library
It would be useful to show more information (publisher, size, pubdata, cover) when you are warned that the new book you're adding is already present in your library.

Use an 'Intake' Library, the use Find Duplicates: Find Library Duplicates

You can examine both (via logs) FWIW I commonly get 'No Formats' as I use Empty Books as a wish list / series tracker

I use Calibre-Spy to access the destination library (read only), whilst the Calibre library manager has control of the Intake library.

Which gives me an idea of how to give the OP what they want.

All that should need behind the Book derails button is one of these: calibre://book-details/_hex_-546865566f696365/9

And now that Book details can be shown for books in another library, the same could be done for Find duplicates->Find Library Duplicates. That would mean @theducks wouldn't have to fossick around in the wood pile, and I wouldn't have fire up CalibreSpy

Maybe the button isn't needed, the BD panel could pop automatically for the current duplicate… a show/no-show checkbox in Configure for those who don't want more information.
