Hi, I noticed a built-in TOC editor tool already exists, but sometimes it's easier to add TOC dynamically while I am reading in the viewer. I wonder if it's possible and how much effort it might take to enable readers to edit the TOC in the viewer by calling that built-in TOC editor.

I'm afraid this is not something I am interested in implementing. It breaks separation of concerns.

There's a toolbar button to open the book in ebook-editor, though may need to be added in the settings.

Add the TOC tool to your Calibre toolbar. You can edit the Library copy, then reload the book in the viewer (if desired) It is on the viewers menu
