Fetching news anywhere : Running calibre command line on Android ?

Hello
I use the scheduled news functionality.
I am looking ways to get the news epubs when I am not at home and without my laptop.
I've seen there exists some ways : making my PC as a server and keeping it awake, installing calibre on a cloud server, running it on a raspberry,..

I was just thinking instead to run the calibre command line on my Android.
I do need the calibre GUI, just the possibility to run the news recipes.
I've just seen this suggestion :
https://www.reddit.com/r/Calibre/com...re_on_android/

Have you got some other ideas and suggestions?

Thanks
Villard

Since you can tell what day/time the news download is to run, if you have the Content Server running, I would think you could expose it to the internet so you would be able to access it from anywhere.

Another option is to have a windows scheduled task (or cron job in Linux) that could bundle up all the epub files and push them to Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar cloud service.

Have a look at BookFusion (and the Calibre plugin), it might help out here as well.

I'll take a look on BookFusion I didn't know.

About your first suggestion, I prefer to stop my PC when I am away during several days for energy reason, and if possible not to expose my PC as a server for security reason

Windows Task Manager (scheduler) has a setting to Wake the computer to run a scheduled task.
Just create a 'time window' where you retrieve your news , giving Calibre time to run that task.
Sleep power is minimal.
