Hi,
my name is Rob and I'm new to mobileread.
My wife and I each have a kindle fire and lately after downloading a book to calibre, converting it via mobi, connecting the kindle to my pc, calibre shows "send to device" and that transfers the book to my kindle.
When I go thru the above with my wife's kindle, the "send to device" does not appear and I cannot get the book on her kindle. This is only recently after I got a new pc.

Does this new PC recognize your wife's Fire at all? If the device doesn't show up on the computer, Calibre can't see it either.

By the way, Fire tablets are not Kindles.

How can I tell if the PC recognizes a fire tablet?

If you connect the Fire to the PC, do you see the device in the Windows Explorer?
