Random Search Results
No matter what criteria or word I search for, Calibre is returning a load of random search results. It happens even when I search for a specific book title in full or partially.

I uninstalled / reinstalled Calibre to no avail.

Please help and thanks.

Actually the whole search and sorting function is not working for me.

ex: if I click on a certain language to display books in that language only, I get mixed results including books in other languages.

Thank you for your suggestion. I tested it and it was not the issue.

Update: I moved my library from Windows 11 computer to Windows 10 Computer and Calibre 6.13 is working like charm. I am not sure if it is Windows 11 on the first computer or the MacAfee security or may be something else.

I tried one more thing: I searched an Arabic word (which is totally different alphabet) and yet I got some English books in my result!!! (Windows 11 with MacAfee)

Antivirus doesn't really affect things like this.

Do you have any examples of what words are matched?

What is your setting for Preferences > Search > Unaccented characters match accented characters? Does anything change when you toggle it?

It would help if you post the actual search string you are using, and also explain where exactly you are typing this.
