Hi and thanks
I've just become an iLiad user and couldn't see how to use the dictionary lookup function when using MobiBooks and a MobiBook dictionary. Before I had even registered with these forums I found the answer here. So thanks. I hope maybe to help somebody else along the way.

Welcome to MobileRead. As you've discovered, if there's an answer to be found, you can find it here in the forums.
Now that you've got your iLiad, what kind of books do you like to read? Have you checked out all the books in the library right here at MobileRead? |

Thanks all.
One of the main reasons I bought my iLiad was to help me maintain and improve my German. Having once lived in Germany, I speak well enough to read novels but there is always a few words I'm not familiar with. That's why the lookup function was so important to me. It's so much easier than stopping reading and digging out the dictionary, or jotting down the words and trying to be disciplined enough to look them up later. Libri.de and Beam have lots of books in German, but it's disappointing to find that some of the best known modern authors are not yet available in eBook form. Another good use I have for my iLiad is being able to take recipe books with me when on self-catering holidays. Ray |

Now that's clever. I have a laptop on which I store favorite recipes and even menu plans and shopping lists. And, I'm rarely in a location where I cannot get Internet access; if not continuously, at least every other day or so, and my Web Bookmarks and Google search suffice to provide access to anything I didn't think to bring on the laptop. But, I realize that not everyone travels with a laptop and using the eBook reader to carry your recipes is an excellent use. Errr... in addition to carrying your entertainment in the form of many fiction books to read on those holidays.
