Question Alf Apprentice DRM Plugin for Calibre
Does the Alf Apprentice DRM plugin for Calibre work on the latest version of Calibre? I have version 4.23.

The newest version of the deDRM plugin works with the latest Calibre. Note the download page has changed and it can now be had from here:

Get DeDRM 10.0.3 from the above link and Calibre 6.

Apologies if this is a dumb question. I'm currently running Calibre 5.44.0 and the old DeDRM tools. If I update Calibre to the current version of Calibre 6, do I need to uninstall the old plug-ins (either before or after updating) or just install the new ones over the top?

First, try Calibre 6 without updating the plugins. The old plugins may work; they do sometimes. If they don't, uninstall the old plugins and install the new.

Update DeDRM before you update Calibre. You want to install 10.0.3 from https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools

Then install the latest Calibre 6 and update the plugins when prompted for new versions.

What you can do is have a look at all the plugins you have installed and go to the appropriate thread in the Calibre Plugins forum and double check what works with Calibre 6.

That list doesn't work. It only lists the minimum version of Calibre. It does not say (for the ones that list an earlier version then 6) if it works for Calibre 6 or not.
