Modify EPUB and already converted AZW3

Hello,

When I import EPUB files, Calibre automatically creates an AZW3 version for my Kindle. When I use the Modify EPUB -plugin, do I need to re-covert the modified EPUB file to AZW3 format or does the plugin/Calibre do it automatically?

You need to convert again.
The auto convert only happens IF there was no AZW3.

There is one now, so you need to force it to convert again

Why convert on import if you are only going to do it again?

I only need to do the Modify EPUB for the books that I get from e-library because those don't have encoding set in EPUB, thus books sent to Kindle with SendToKindle presumes ISO-8859-1 and then all Scandinavian characters look weird. So for those, I need to run the Modify EPUB -plugin to make them UTF-8.

Even though this does now affect the AZW3 file, I kind of like the fact that the AZW3 conversion is on-par with the EPUB from which it was generated from.
