Kobo keeps mistreating the m-dash in Spanish

Hello.
For at least ten years, as can be seen in this post from 2013, Kobo has known about the following bug affecting kepub in Spanish and has not yet done anything about it.
The bug consists in the breaking of the orthographic rule of the Spanish language which dictates that the m-dash ("raya" is called in Spanish) is inseparable from any character it accompanies, exactly the same as it applies to punctuation marks (e.g. "xxx," cannot be rendered as "xxx ,").

Can there be a cultural discrimination here or is the lack of interest generalised?

I think talking about "cultural discrimination" is a big stretch, I'm sure it's more possible that the hyphenation is a generic one and it's not adapted a lot to the specific language rules (that is more complicated to develop).

With "cultural discrimination" I am referring not to the Spanish spelling treatment itself, but to the fact that the reporting of the error has been ignored for years and years.
Kobo's treatment of the m-dash in Spanish would be absolutely unacceptable in a paper edition.

I would guess it is a low priority bug. Similar to the bug with dashes and full justification.

Then, I guess I've read a lot of unacceptable paper editions (and this is the minor of the issues). And reported errors are ignored by Kobo for a lot of time, I agree.
