Sigil 1.9.20 keeps "maximised" on Mac OS
Sigil 1.9.20 keeps "maximised" on Mac OS (latest) M1 machine, changes in "ini" file for maximised=false and fullscreen - do not change anything. Application keeps size of whole available space.
Any ideas? Hints? |

Make sure you have fully exited from Sigil and that Sigil is not running at all (use Sigil Quit instead of just closing the Window). Then try renaming the entire ini file to force Sigil to create a new one.
If you are still having an issue after that, my guess is Apple has cached the program window state in some way. So shutdown your machine and make sure to *uncheck* the box that says reopen applications. Then repeat renaming the ini file on reboot before starting up Sigil. |

Only deleting whole folder with all "*.ini" files helped. Fixed!

Only the sigil.ini file should matter as it is the only place the ManWindow geometry is stored. By deleting the entire folder, you will have accidentally removed any plugins you had installed. You may need to re-install them.

I did it with only "sigil.ini" and did not help.

Did you close and quit completely out of Sigil first? That file is read very early in the Sigil startup process so deleting it after startup will not do what is needed.

Sure did it, even Mac shutdown... no clue but worked that way.
Now only bad thing is the "OEPS\section\" before normal file name, but will live with this. |

I recommend reading the manual.

"Show full paths" is not a default setting. If all of Sigil's prefs were deleted, it should have reverted back to showing the file name only in Book Browser.
