Unhappy Blank Pages When Converting epub to pdf

Hi all! I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but I am having issues with converting epub to pdf in calibre. I created my epub in sigil and I use calibre to convert it to pdf. I have images as separators for chapters (each image is full page and a separate .xhtml file). After converting to pdf, there is a blank page after the image page. I have scoured Google and other forums for help but to no avail. Please help!

Don't make PDFs that way!
Since you created the epub, put the content into MS Word or (free) LO Writer.. Then style pages suitably. LO Writer does perfect PDF exports.

Using "Print" from the Calibre viewer isn't bad to make a PDF. But if it's a PD text eBook I'd use Calibre to export/convert to RTF or docx and then LO Writer to make a PDF, which it does better than my Word XP with PDF plugin or my Word 2007, but I believe newer versions of MS Word are OK at exporting PDFs. LO Writer is perfect.

See the demo.epub file here: https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/con...ormatting-demo

It contains an example of markup to create a full page image. Use that markup and you should be fine.

Thank you! I saw an old forum post where you suggested using the "full page" option when uploading an image and I tried that but when I check the book on kindle reader on my phone the image comes out stretched vertically. But I'll read the manual and see if it makes a difference. Thank you for responding!

Just an update, The blank pages were caused by images bleeding off the page causing a blank page when converting to PDF. I resized the image height and hey presto! No more unwanted blank pages after full screen images! Thank you for the help!
