Help please...
I need help, I tried to install the latest KUAL (coplate) thinking that the jalibreak would be updated, it failed, I got an error and it restarted.
It got stuck and I had to force restart it. Now I have a paperweight, which I can do. It restarts all the time and I can't do anything even by pressing the power button for 40 seconds and the computer doesn't detect it. I find it incredible what happened. It's a Kindle Power White 11th signature edition, I was delighted with everything. what can i do?? My kindle is like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QdSN8JQ0Ic There is a moment when the pc detects a storage unit without access, but it disappears and I can't do anything. In the end he will die and I understand that it is not good for the memory. Can it be recovered? |

You'd have to give massively more details about the history of the device for us to help, but, yeah, your best bet is likely an RMA anyway.

I was very happy with how it worked and downloaded the new version and installed straight away. It was supposed to update, but it didn't, it gave me an error and it crashed trying to install. Update_KUALBooklet_hotfix_eb7e23d_install.bin What I have installed was this file I put it in the MRPI folder and then start installation with KUAL package installer. Something like that. I'm surprised there's nothing to recover. It's on an infinite reset and obviously this won't be good for memory I understand. I have no choice but to process the warranty? Can Amazon deny me the warranty? |

Using the warranty is your only choice, all of the modern Kindles have a locked bootloader and serial port meaning that even if you could figure out what was wrong, you wouldn't be able to fix it. I doubt that Amazon would deny a warranty claim as it seems to be a known issue on your specific model. |

Your device is not recoverable and bumping this thread over and over will not change that fact. As stated before, you need to contact Amazon and obtain a replacement device.

But remember, chances are good that the replacement Kindle will be unable to be jailbroken.3

It detects what I mentioned above, but it disconnects. It's like waiting for the start of a flash. Clearly a tool or cable is missing. I think there is something with the UART type connection. I have two cables and I think I'm going to try to make some adaptations to have it a type c usb cable to see if I see anything. Any help is welcome. |

Here's a last-ditch effort.
Create a new text file with the contents: Code:
:loop type NUL > E:\\DO_FACTORY_RESTORE goto loop Save the file as script.bat and double-click it. Best of luck! ![]() |

Thanks you, but no found..
please check the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QdSN8JQ0Ic all the time a unit appears to me, but without access to it. At this point I wonder if the information is still inside? If I process a guarantee, can you see that I had a jailbreak? And deny me the guarantee? It's funny because Amazon commits a crime because they monitor everything that is done in the background. It turns out that on the date I reset the device they knew it, I think they can see everything.. When I did the jailbreak I didn't want to register the device anymore and I have been using the device without any amazon account and hardly connecting it via wifi. Well, because they don't have it registered, they want to refuse to process a guarantee. They make me dizzy when I connect and reset it and they don't realize that the problem is that the PC doesn't detect it. And they tell me that if I don't register it I can't have the guarantee, as if it were mandatory to have it linked, I don't like this policy and above all invasion of privacy. At this point I wonder about privacy, since I have private information on the kindle. And the truth is that I don't like having my own account, if they spy on me. To what extent can they see what you read or do on the kindle? |
