PC Recognition Problem

Hi everyone
I am new to this forum and I have a problem with my kindle (I unpluggd it before clicking "safely remove device" an now computer does not recognize it). Where do I post this please ?

Your best solution might be to ask the Amazon help line.

Does the kindle itself behave normally, or has its disk been messed up in ITS opinion?

Thanks for your answer. Yes it behaves normally, I can even send files from my pc to kindle by email.
I have tried it on my wife's pc but it cannot see it either. Both my and my wife's pc can see both an ipad and an external memory.

Have you tried a reboot? (I'm punting here, hoping the thread will be active enough for somebody else to notice it and chime it. I only do Macs. But a reboot can't hurt.)

Wonder if we can get a moderator to change the title of this thread, to "PC Recognition Problem" .... so other people will read it. Unless you can change it yourself (and I wouldn't know how to do that) I'll flag the thread so a moderator notices and helps us.

One of the following might work:

Charge your Kindle until it's fully charged.
Restart your Kindle.
Try a different USB cable and/or a different computer.

Restart was done and so was trying a different computer.

Thanks to all. I have tried other cables and computers.
Here is something that I have just discovered.
If in device manager I go to "view" and then click on "show hidden devices" back to "view" and the click on "devices by container", I can see "Amazon Kindle" and if I expand that I will see D:\ , Kindle Internal Storage USB Device , USB Mass storage device , Volume.

The same thing happened to me, were you able to solve it?
How is the solution?
My kindle keeps restarting...
