Convert Epub causing chapter breaks

Hello!

I am not sure if this problem is fixable. I have whole blank pages in between each of my chapters. I've gone through the conversion menu and checked the box that says "do not split on page breaks." Alas, I still have page breaks. Any solutions on how to fix this are appreciated.

Note: I am exporting an Epub from pages, putting it in calibre, then making a new epub file. In Pages I have page breaks at the end of each chapter, but not whole blank pages.

In your css, is there any styling for <h1>, ..., <h6> tags? Could there be a "page-break-before: always;" in there? Or, if there are any paragraphs or divs at the top of those book pages, do any of their classes have that tag?

1st, this book use JavaScript , so it is not a vanilla EPUB

The stylesheet may have the pagebreak commands in multiple places

i think i fixed it! id pressed "return" in front of the chapter titles instead of using line breaks and it caused a bunch of extra spaces. thanks for the help!
